Gwadar international Airport, which
will be able
to dealing
with the
largest passenger planes which
includes the Airbus A-380 Boeing jet, ATR 72, Airbus
(A-300), Boeing (B-737) & Boeing (B-747) for domestic as
well international routes, Gwadar International Airport is being constructed at a cost of
230 million US$ at Gwadar, Baluchistan province. the
amount for the airport is a full grant from the Chinese government, the Parliamentary Committee on China-Pakistan economic corridor (CPEC).
China Airport construction group corporation conducted and approved soil testing for the
new international airport design and conceptual pictures have
been finalized mutually agreed by authorities.
The airport will
be spread over 4,300 acres as
compared to Karachi’s 3,700 acres, Lahore’s 2,800 acres and approximately 3,600 acres of Islamabad’s new under construction airport. it
will be able
to handling 380 big plane and more than a
million passenger’s per anum, on completion in 3 years after contract signing through bidding.
